The Plume of Steam

...lured me in
I caught the scent on the air
Emotions swept across my face
Always from left to right
I walked, I ran
The plume of steam got smaller
I went to the store
I bought that special coffee
I wore the bracelet
I danced
And I loved it
I forgot about the steam
I saw a police car from Louisville and two Boulder police cars
I think I saw one from another jurisdiction 2 but it might have been Louisville too
I don't know
Later, I'll go for another walk and I wonder what I'll see or who'll see me
